The Sequoyah School Gryphons will head out on the road to square off against the Mesrobian Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Sequoyah School couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to Southwestern Academy 28-24.
Meanwhile, Mesrobian put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southwestern Academy 63-27 on the road. Mesrobian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Sequoyah School's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Mesrobian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
Sequoyah School was dealt a bruising 44-14 defeat at the hands of Mesrobian in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Can Sequoyah School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
