Union Area has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Blackhawk Cougars at 1:45 p.m. on Friday. Union Area will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Blackhawk is ranked 40th).
Last Wednesday, Union Area suffered a tough 50-30 defeat at the hands of Blackhawk.
Union Area's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Blackhawk, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
