Basketball Game Preview: Yuba City Honkers vs. Del Campo Cougars

The Yuba City Honkers will take on the Del Campo Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Yuba City is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Yuba City managed to keep up with River Valley until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Yuba City came up short against River Valley, falling 48-26.

Despite their loss, Yuba City saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Allie Campbell, who posted four points and 11 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Campbell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Del Campo faced off against Roseville on Monday. Del Campo was beaten by Roseville 58-22. The Cougars were down 43-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Yuba City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Del Campo, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
