After losing to the Olney Trojans the last time they met, the Belmont Charter Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Belmont Charter came out on top against Olney by a score of 43-34 on Monday. That 43-34 margin sets a new team best for Belmont Charter this season.
Belmont Charter can attribute much of their success to Kaylin Kent, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayanah Guyton, who scored 11 points.
The victory got Belmont Charter back to even at 2-2. As for Olney, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belmont Charter will take on John Bartram at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. John Bartram comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Olney, they will head out on the road to face off against Bodine at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Bodine's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so Olney's offense will have their work cut out for Olney.
