Kehillah is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Vikings a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Kehillah Rams will take on the Pescadero Vikings at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Pescadero took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Kehillah, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Kehillah didn't have too much trouble with the Trojans on the road as they won 35-17. The win was just what Kehillah needed coming off of a 56-19 loss in their prior matchup.
Ariella Sheppard was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with two steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Kehillah's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Advah Spiro, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pescadero took a serious blow against the Black Bears on Tuesday, falling 74-16. While losing is never fun, Pescadero can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1277th, while the Black Bears are ranked 446th).
Kehillah's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Pescadero, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Kehillah barely slipped by the Vikings when the teams last played last Thursday, winning 33-32. Does Kehillah have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
