The North Star Huskies lost against the Melba Mustangs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. North Star was outmatched by Melba on the road and fell 86-39. North Star has struggled against Melba recently, as their matchup on Monday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why North Star lost, one person who can't be blamed is Blake Hansen. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with two steals.
North Star dropped their record down to 2-17 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Melba, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
North Star didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-28 loss vs. Nampa Christian on the 7th. Melba has also already played their next contest, a 67-51 victory against New Plymouth on the 7th.
