Softball Recap: Papillion-Lavista South Wins Going Away Against Lincoln High

While Papillion-LaVista South put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Lincoln High. The Titans blew past the Links 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kyleigh Nielsen looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Chyler Hoke was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Maizey Macke, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Papillion-LaVista South kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.

Papillion-LaVista South is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Lincoln High, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
