Westminster Christian entered their tilt with Webster Groves on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Statesmen  an   8-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won six games by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jaymison Lenk made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Those  16  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. That  stolen base was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Sophia Bell, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Addi Drumm, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  double.
Westminster Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Webster Groves, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Looking ahead, Westminster Christian will host Orchard Farm  at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. As for Webster Groves, they will head out to  challenge Lutheran South  at 8:15  p.m.  on Friday.
