The Lanier Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Wingfield Falcons, and things went their way on Friday too. Lanier came out on top against Wingfield by a score of 58-51.
Despite the loss, Wingfield still got an impressive performance from Martavius Bennett, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Arrington, who scored 13 points.
Lanier's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Wingfield, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Lanier's homestand continues as they prepare to take on McComb at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. McComb has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 309 points over their last five contests. As for Wingfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Richland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Richland has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5.
