Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South will head out on the road to face off against the Bowie Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Bowie will arrive with eight straight victories.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South pushed their score all the way to 62 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Hope Academy. While losing is never fun, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while New Hope Academy is ranked 91st).
Meanwhile, Bowie beat Parkdale on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 65-51.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South dropped their record down to 4-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Bowie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
