This season hasn't been kind to the Newport Christian Seahawks, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They fell 45-34 to The Webb Schools on Tuesday. Newport Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as The Webb Schools apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Xajani Badkar continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for The Webb Schools, almost dropping a triple-double on 16 points, nine rebounds, and 14 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Badkar has scored at least a third of The Webb Schools' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Rabadi, who scored six points along with 19 rebounds and six steals.
Newport Christian bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for The Webb Schools, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Newport Christian will head out on the road to face off against San Gabriel Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Webb Schools, they will be playing at home against Waverly at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
