Liberty has gone a perfect 6-0 against O'Connor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Liberty will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Liberty is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Brophy College Prep, who was ranked tenth at the time (Liberty was ranked third). The Lions blew past the Broncos 38-3 on Friday. Considering the Lions have won six contests by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Liberty proved: they limited Brophy College Prep to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Tyler Burnstein for the heroic effort on defense: he. Liberty hasn't allowed more than 4.8 yards per carry in three consecutive games.
Liberty's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Hudson Dunn was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5 himself. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times he's played. Another thorn in Brophy College Prep's side was Burnstein, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, O'Connor's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Boulder Creek by a score of 17-14. The Eagles have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Liberty will have to contain Jeremy Adeyanju as he made an impact in O'Connor's last game. He rushed for 99 yards and one score on only 14 carries.
Liberty's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for O'Connor, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Liberty has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 204.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like O'Connor struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 166 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Liberty against O'Connor when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 46-0 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
