Basketball Game Preview: Nebraska Lutheran Knights vs. East Butler Tigers

Nebraska Lutheran and East Butler are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Nebraska Lutheran Knights will welcome the East Butler Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Nebraska Lutheran will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Nebraska Lutheran walked away with a 54-44 win over Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Samantha Hueske continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 15 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Rebecca Hueske was another key player, putting up 12 points and six steals.

Meanwhile, East Butler was able to grind out a solid victory over College View Academy on Saturday, taking the game 44-31.

East Butler's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Nebraska Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Nebraska Lutheran beat East Butler 44-34 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Nebraska Lutheran repeat their success, or does East Butler have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
