The Sonora Raiders will challenge the University Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Sonora will be strutting in after a win while University will be coming in after a loss.
On Friday, Sonora needed a bit of extra time to put away California. They came out on top against the Condors by a score of 6-3.
Robby Blaine tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk).

Ryan Lietzau
| 02/27/26 @ California | 3 |
| 03/10/25 @ Sunny Hills | 2 |
| 02/23/26 vs Orange | 1 |
| 02/20/26 @ Ocean View | 1 |
| 05/02/25 vs Troy | 1 |
At the plate, Ryan Lietzau and Tucker Hunnicutt did most of the damage at the plate: Lietzau went 2-for-4 with three runs and one triple, while Hunnicutt got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Lietzau a new career-high. Isaiah Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, University fell victim to Dana Hills and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Dolphins, falling 7-0.
University saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Shean, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
University now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sonora, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Sonora has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like University struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Sonora was able to grind out a solid win over University when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 3-0. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
