The St. Lucy's Regents scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Pomona Catholic on the road to the tune of 51-21. St. Lucy's might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 24 points or more this season.
St. Lucy's got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nadia Bashoura out in front who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Bashoura. The team also got some help courtesy of Danika Mejico, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
St. Lucy's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Pomona Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Lucy's and St. Genevieve will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pomona Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Paraclete at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. Paraclete is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
