Baseball Recap: Prout Triumphs

Prout won the last time they faced Toll Gate and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Crusaders walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Titans.

Kaden Osenkowski made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Osenkowski wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Chofay, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jonathan Kent also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Prout's record is now 5-6. As for Toll Gate, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Prout will challenge rival Burrillville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Toll Gate is set to face off against their familiar foe Rogers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
