Omaha Westside  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs as they made off with  an  11-5 victory. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered  a  12-3  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Hannah Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

Those  three  doubles gave  Rich a new career-high.  Baylee Heffernan was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Omaha Westside  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Papillion-LaVista only managed five  hits.
 Omaha Westside has already played their next game,  a  15-0  win against Plattsmouth on the 22nd. As for Papillion-LaVista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  match,  an  8-1  victory against Millard South on the 22nd.
