Prep Charter has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Frankford Pioneers at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Back in December of 2023, the stars were shining brightly for Prep Charter in a 40-25 win over Olney.
Meanwhile, Frankford stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. Everything went their way against Sankofa Freedom Academy as Frankford made off with a 39-13 win. The win was just what Frankford needed coming off of a 53-24 loss in their prior game.
Frankford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Janeliss Laboy, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Leyshka Ruperto was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Prep Charter's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Frankford, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
Prep Charter barely slipped by Frankford in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 46-45. Does Prep Charter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Frankford turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
