The La Jolla Vikings's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Kearny Komets at 3:30 p.m. on December 18th. Hopefully La Jolla focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
On Saturday, La Jolla ended up a good deal behind Olympian and lost 50-35.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Drew Bennett, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isabella Policaro, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Kearny unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Mayfield 46-42.
La Jolla's record is now 7-6. As for Kearny, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
La Jolla strolled past Kearny when the teams last played back in May of 2021 by a score of 37-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Jolla since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
