Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Costa Mesa). They managed an 84-78 win over the Laguna Beach Breakers on Wednesday. The Mustangs didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

Several Breakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Damian Reider, who posted 30 points. The dominant performance gave Reider a new career-high in points. Brody Azadian was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Costa Mesa's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Laguna Beach, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Costa Mesa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 91-41 loss against Canyon on the 20th. As for Laguna Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-48 defeat against Dana Hills on the 19th.
