Monte Vista hasn't had much luck against Granada recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Matadors at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Monte Vista has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Monte Vista took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Amador Valley 5-4.
Monte Vista got a great performance from Cameron Cocagne as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Cocagne has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
