Video: Jaylen Warren sets single-season Utah rushing record
See the bulldozing back plow his way to a rushing record above.
Who says small backs can't do big things?
Well,
East (Salt Lake City, Utah)'s 5-foot-9 running back
Jaylen Warren silenced that claim on Friday when he set the Utah state single-season rushing record.
The 205-pound bruiser spun off an arm tackle and rumbled for the emphatic 46-yard touchdown to break the 37-year-old record.
Warren recorded a wowing 249 rushing yards and four touchdowns to lead the Leopards to a huge 47-34 victory over Timpview in the state quarterfinals,
according to Trevor Phibbs the Salt Lake Tribune.
The senior has been nearly unstoppable this season. He's posted the eighth-most rushing yards in the country (2,675) and 33 total touchdowns to spur the Leopards to a No. 24 spot in the Xcellent 25 rankings.
Warren will be charged up next week as East battles Maple Mountain in the Class 4A state semifinals.
