Fillmore scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by the Pilibos Eagles 68-38. The Flashes' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Fillmore lost, don't look at Lucy Murillo. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Those 16 points gave Murillo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Yaneli Landin, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and three steals.

It was another big night for Nanar Shahinian, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on her way to 24 points for Pilibos. The team also got some help courtesy of Talia Kasbarian, who had nine points and four steals.

Fillmore's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Pilibos, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Fillmore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 44-18 defeat against Cleveland on the 31st. As for Pilibos, they will head out to take on Milken at 5:00 p.m. on January 8th. Pilibos is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
