Cherokee waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Marietta Blue Devils get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Warriors have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cherokee's win bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Marietta, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee will welcome North Paulding at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.5, the Wolfpack 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Marietta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McEachern at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
