Georgia Christian got a massive performance out of Carson Hanks, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Hanks has posted since back in March of 2024. Jett Guilliams was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Georgia Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sherwood Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .143.
Meanwhile, Fullington Academy lost 14-4 to Terrell Academy on Friday.
Fullington Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Faulk, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Clay Sangster also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Georgia Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Fullington Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.
Fullington Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Georgia Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. It's a different story for Fullington Academy, though, as they've only averaged .205. Will they be able to contain Georgia Christian's hitters?
