The Chaparral Wolverines will take on the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Chaparral has given up an average of 7.4  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Chaparral came into their game  on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost  13-1 to Arvada West. The Wolverines' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Chaparral saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Riley Weber, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  run and one  double.
Regis Jesuit couldn't beat Rock Canyon  on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Raiders fell  15-10 to the Jaguars.
 Alex Tavlarides put in work while hitting and pitching. She  pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Tavlarides was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Alexis Colvin made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.  Brynn Huckemeyer was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 Regis Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Chaparral, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Wednesday's   matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Chaparral hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Regis Jesuit struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .337. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Everything went Chaparral's way against Regis Jesuit in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as Chaparral made off with  a  20-0 win. Do  the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
