Fountain-Fort Carson is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Pueblo West on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cyclones, falling 12-1. The Trojans have struggled against the Cyclones recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty). They were the clear victors by a 24-14 margin over Rampart on Tuesday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Liberty let Charlotte Riffle and Selah Joiner run wild. Riffle fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5, while Joiner went a perfect 5-for-5 with five runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those three doubles gave Joiner a new career-high. Another player making a difference was McKenna Newton, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .558. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Fountain-Fort Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.
Fountain-Fort Carson came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
