The Boulder City Eagles will take on the Elko Indians at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Boulder City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Wooster get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Boulder City got a massive performance out of Spencer Aten, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Aten has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Robinson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Boulder City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. They are 11-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Elko entered their tilt with Boulder City on Friday with 21 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 22. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Eagles.
Adam Roumanos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Roumanos was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Armando Acosta, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Carter Kidwell was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Boulder City's record is now 20-13. As for Elko, their record now sits at 30-6.
Boulder City couldn't quite get it done against Elko when the teams last played on Friday as they fell 10-7. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
