The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors posted their closest  win yet this season on Monday. They had just enough and edged Neuse Christian Academy out  32-29. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Thomas More Academy also won the last time the pair played  back in February of 2023.
 St. Thomas More Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Adella Dehring, who  scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maire Kelly, who  scored ten points along with two  steals.
 Neuse Christian Academy lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Morgan Little, who  scored eight points along with three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Gracyn Williams, who  scored seven points along with 13  rebounds.
 St. Thomas More Academy's victory  ended a three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 12-9. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Thomas More Academy will  challenge Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant  players against one another:  Ashlyn Lange and  Dehring. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Thales Academy Rolesville at 6:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant  players against one another:  Ursula Fischer and  Little.
