Riverdale is on a six-game streak of home losses, Minarets a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Riverdale Cowboys will take on the Minarets Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
On Tuesday, Riverdale was the victim of a tough 46-21 loss at the hands of Parlier. Riverdale has not had much luck with Parlier recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Riverdale had strong showings from Valeria Olguin, who scored six points, and Yesenia Yslas, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Minarets ended up a good deal behind Yosemite on Tuesday and lost 47-30.
Riverdale has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Minarets, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
Riverdale took a serious blow against Minarets in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 41-13. Thankfully for Riverdale, Ysis Bouhce (who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
