Mills won the last time they faced Westmont and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Isabel Chen was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Chen was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bailey Beauchemin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Lucy Esquivel, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Mills' record now sits at 7-3. As for Westmont, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

Mills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against King's Academy on the 9th. As for Westmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-5 win against Live Oak on the 10th.
