The Lake Belton Broncos pushed their score all the way to 68 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 85-68 fall against Chaparral. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (67), Lake Belton still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Demarko Williams, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds for Chaparral. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was CJ Norwood, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and three steals.
Lake Belton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Chaparral, the win got them back to even at 14-14.
Lake Belton will head out on the road to square off against Shoemaker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shoemaker will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Chaparral will take on Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chaparral in Texas (Belton is ranked 110th, while Chaparral is ranked 390th).
