After a string of three wins, Carlmont's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to the Amador Valley Dons.

Despite the loss, Carlmont still got an impressive performance from Willow Ishibashi-To, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Carlmont's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Amador Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Carlmont will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Half Moon Bay at 6:15 p.m. on January 10th. As for Amador Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-31 loss against Freedom on the 4th.
