Note: The National Federation of High Schools Record Book lists John Giannantonio of Netcong (N.J.) with 754 yards rushing in a game in 1950. However research from several different sources shows that the 754 yards is "all-purpose yardage", not just rushing yardage. Giannantonio reportedly had 515 yards rushing for the game in question.
