The Bradshaw Christian Pride will square off against the Argonaut Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Argonaut will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Bradshaw Christian extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Pride's pitcher stepped up to hand River City a 10-0 shutout. The Pride might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Alex Crosno made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up a single earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Bradshaw Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.
Argonaut came out on top against Rosemont on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Wolverines. The Mustangs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th (when they won 10-2).
Like Bradshaw Christian, Argonaut also got a great game from a two-way player: Brayden Dewald. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dewald is becoming a predictor of Argonaut's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 5-2 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Dewald was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, Clayton Hardy was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Robert Cable was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Bradshaw Christian pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Argonaut, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.
Argonaut's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bradshaw Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. It's a different story for Argonaut, though, as they've only averaged .241. Will they be able to contain Bradshaw Christian's hitters?
Bradshaw Christian beat Argonaut 4-0 in their previous meeting on April 3rd. Will the Pride repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
