On Friday, Latitude was the victim of a tough 40-20 loss at the hands of Leadership.
Leadership's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hannah Tagaga, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tagaga pulled down eight or more rebounds. Hazel Goundar was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six steals.
Latitude's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Leadership, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Latitude will head out on the road to face off against AIMS College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. AIMS College Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Leadership, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against KIPP King at 4:30 p.m. KIPP King is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
