Carrollton had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 14-4 margin over the Newton Rams. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Carrollton's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Newton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Carrollton will head out to take on East Coweta at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockdale County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Newton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
