Carver had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 7-13 to make it four. They lost 19-9 to the Jordan Red Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Deshawne Bryant was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Carver's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 5-12 when he doesn't). Christopher Harris was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
As for Jordan, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-15. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Jordan's side, Gary Wayne Morris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched. What's more, Morris posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Glenn Edmondson and Jadon Riedel did most of the damage at the plate: Edmondson went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Riedel went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Riedel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jared Carter, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Carver will challenge rival Kendrick at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jordan is set to square off against their familiar foe Shaw at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
