Fontainebleau and Hammond are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Fontainebleau Bulldogs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Hammond Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Fontainebleau's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Hammond has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Even though E.D. White scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Fontainebleau still came out on top. Fontainebleau escaped with a win against E.D. White by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59.
Hammond was handed a 34-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Belle Chasse on Friday. Hammond narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Belle Chasse 63-60. The win was just what Hammond needed coming off of a 79-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Hammond got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Harland out in front who scored 16 points. Charles Armstrong was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Fontainebleau is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Hammond, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Fontainebleau skirted past Hammond 48-46 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Will Fontainebleau repeat their success, or does Hammond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
