Stockbridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 23-1 margin over McDonough on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won seven in a row.
Sam Waters looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Stockbridge let Dereck Foster and Brycen Norman-Jimil run wild. Foster scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Norman-Jimil scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Norman-Jimil a new career-high in runs. Jeremiah McGeachy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-2.
Stockbridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .706. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Woodland came up short against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy on Wednesday, falling 26-10.
Myles Williams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Blake Washington, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Stockbridge's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Stockbridge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Woodland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Stockbridge took their victory against Woodland in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1. Will Stockbridge repeat their success, or does Woodland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
