While Pike County's victory against Jackson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Red Devils on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Pike County's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Jackson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pike County is set to challenge their familiar foe Westside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jackson will take on rival Morgan County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Devils 4.1, the Bulldogs 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
