The Orem Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 64-15 loss at the hands of Payson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Orem has scored all season.
Anna Thayer was Orem's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Abby Davidson held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Payson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cheznie Roundy, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Oaklie Jackman, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Orem bumped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Payson, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Orem will be playing at home against Uintah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Uintah is ranked 104th, while Orem is ranked 107th). As for Payson, they will head out on the road to challenge Provo at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
