The Argonaut Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Bradshaw Christian Pride at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Argonaut barely beat Rosemont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Wolverines 10-2 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Brayden Dewald made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Argonaut's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 5-2 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Dewald was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Clayton Hardy was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Cable, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Bradshaw Christian entered their tilt with River City on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Raiders get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Pride, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Argonaut, Bradshaw Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Alex Crosno. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Crosno has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Carter, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Max Wolf was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Bradshaw Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in four consecutive games.
Bradshaw Christian's victory was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Argonaut, their record is now 8-11.
Argonaut couldn't quite get it done against Bradshaw Christian in their previous matchup on April 3rd as they fell 4-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
