The Amador Valley Dons will take on the Campolindo Cougars at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Amador Valley will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Amador Valley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Arroyo on Tuesday. Amador Valley was the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over Arroyo. The matchup marked Amador Valley's most dominant win of the season so far.
Brennan Baptist tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kade Robertson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Colombo, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Amador Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Campolindo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Encinal 5-4.
Campolindo also got a great performance from Dom Caruso as he pitched 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Miles Clayton, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was William Myers, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Campolindo pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.29 runs across that stretch. As for Amador Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Amador Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Campolindo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
