It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Eaton had no problem doing just that on Friday. They skirted past the Lyons Lions 4-3. Winning may never get old, but the Reds sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Bria Foster made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Minne, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Eaton's win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Lyons, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.
