After only two runs in their last game, Woodward Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against LaGrange on Wednesday. The War Eagles were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Grangers. The War Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Woodward Academy got a great performance from Dominic Veneri as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Spencer Norman was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elijah Lyles, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Woodward Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 18-5 record this season. As for LaGrange, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodward Academy will welcome Westminster at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaGrange, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Grangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
