The Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots are on the road again on Thursday and play against the East Hickman County Eagles at 5:55 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Academy of Our Lady of Peace focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 two weeks ago.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact Academy of Our Lady of Peace proved. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 63-49 victory over St. Joseph Academy.
It was another big night for Jillian Nowicki, who went 7 for 16 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 7 assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Academy of Our Lady of Peace's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey O'neal, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, East Hickman County's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shadow Hills.
Academy of Our Lady of Peace's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for East Hickman County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
