Statesboro barely beat Brunswick the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Statesboro Blue Devils' defense stepped up to hand the Brunswick Pirates a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Statesboro's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Brunswick, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Statesboro will host Bradwell Institute at 7:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Brunswick, they will head out to square off against Glynn Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
