On Tuesday, it was a hard-fought match, but Castaic had to settle for a 41-38 loss against Vasquez.
When it comes to explaining why Castaic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alana Clark. Despite the final result, she scored 22 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Trinity Haddad, who scored six points along with eight steals and six assists.
Castaic bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Vasquez, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Castaic will head out on the road to face off against Quartz Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Vasquez will finish 2023 at home by hosting Adelanto at 1:30 p.m. on December 29th.
