The Foster Falcons won the last time they faced the Fort Bend Kempner Cougars, and things went their way on Friday too. Foster had just enough and edged Fort Bend Kempner out 40-38. The win was all the more spectacular given Foster's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 759th, while Fort Bend Kempner is ranked 150th).
Foster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tory Brennan, who scored five points along with ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jalen Stephanson, who scored seven points.
Foster's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Fort Bend Kempner, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foster will take on Terry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Terry is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Fort Bend Kempner, they will be playing at home against Fulshear at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fulshear and Fort Bend Kempner are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
